How many animals, and on what basis
According to the majority of scholars the aqiqah for a boy is two comparable sheep and for a girl one sheep. This is reported from the hadith of Umm Kurz al-Ka'biyyah.
As for performing it by proxy, according to the majority of scholars anything a person may lawfully do himself he may appoint someone else to do on his behalf, and the aqiqah is one of those things. Every sacrifice here is carried out under the supervision of a Shariah committee that verifies the animal's age, its soundness, and the method of slaughter.

Questions and answers
How many animals are required for a boy and for a girl?
Two for a boy and one for a girl, according to the majority of scholars, following what is reported from the hadith of Umm Kurz al-Ka'biyyah narrated by Abu Dawud and al-Tirmidhi. The boy's package is therefore two animals in a single order from 938 SAR, and the girl's package one animal from 469 SAR.
Is an aqiqah valid if it is performed by proxy?
Yes. According to the majority of scholars, anything a person may lawfully do himself he may appoint someone else to do on his behalf, and the aqiqah is one of those things. Placing the order appoints us to buy and slaughter on your behalf.
Do I need to be present at the slaughter?
No. Being present is not a condition of validity. The video of the slaughter, with your child's name spoken aloud, reaches you instead.
Must the aqiqah be on the seventh day, and what if that day has passed?
The sunnah is that it be carried out on the seventh day after birth. If that day has passed there is no harm in performing it afterwards. Many orders are placed weeks or months after the seventh day.
May the aqiqah be performed in a country other than the one I live in?
Yes. It is not a condition that the aqiqah be performed in the father's country or the child's country of birth. Ours are carried out in seven African countries and the meat is distributed to those most in need there.
What do I do for twins?
Each child has its own aqiqah with its own name and its own separate video. For twin boys, order the boy's package twice, once in each name. For a boy and a girl, order the boy's package in his name and the girl's package in hers.
Is my child's name really spoken at the slaughter?
Yes. The name you enter on the order is spoken aloud at the moment of slaughter and is audible in the video you receive. No sacrifice is carried out without a name attached to it.
What if I have already named my child, or have not chosen a name yet?
If the child is already named, enter that name and it is the one spoken at the slaughter. If you have not settled on a name yet, you may wait and order once you have, or enter the name you have decided on — the name on the order is what is used.
What does an aqiqah cost?
For a girl, one animal from 469 SAR for a goat, 579 SAR for a sheep or 679 SAR for a ram. For a boy, two animals: 938 SAR for two goats, 1,158 SAR for two sheep or 1,258 SAR for two rams. Prices are charged in Saudi Riyals.
When and how does the documentation reach me?
Within 3 working days as a binding cap, typically within 24 to 48 hours, sent by email and WhatsApp to the contact details on the order. You receive a video of the sacrifice and photographs of the distribution.
What is the difference between an aqiqah and a sadaqah?
An aqiqah is slaughtered in the newborn's name in thanks to God for the child and has a set number: two animals for a boy and one for a girl. A sadaqah is slaughtered with a general intention, or in the name of anyone you choose whether living or deceased, with no set number. You can order a sadaqah sacrifice from the sadaqah page.
Can I pay from abroad, and in what currency?
Yes. Payment is by Apple Pay, Google Pay, Visa, Mastercard or mada, priced and charged in Saudi Riyals. A foreign card normally works; your bank converts at its own rate and some cards add a currency conversion fee.
What happens if the documentation does not arrive?
